– Your list of what you need to do to apply and get into and pay for college

– Register for a free College Board account at www.collegeboard.com
– Take a practice test
– Optional: study with free online resources
Determine key things you want from college
– How close to home/family?
– What do you want to study, what kind of career?
– How big?
– What specialty, if any?
– What special geography — mountains, ocean, abroad, near family….
– What is your grades/tests profile, what can you consider?

Aspen High School College Fair – early October, look it up, go, demonstrate interest, we can discuss

Think about summer plans.

December
First draft of college list

January
Register for the spring SAT and/or ACT.

April
Solid college list with mix of reaches, fits, and likelies

June-August
Write your Common App and application essays.
